I designed this iPad case for Modern Quilts Unlimited. The pattern, as well as a feature written by Abby Glassenberg on my fabric weaving, can be found in the February 2017 Issue #18.
I designed the Clare Anna bag for Club Clobird's November bag. This purse uses a partial triaxial weave that looks like hearts. The pattern will be available for purchase in February and includes an instructional video. The bag is made with Indah Batiks by Me + You Fabrics.
I used a woven panel and quilted denim to make this bag for the Giucy Giuce Bucket Bag Sew Along. This is a free pattern by Giuseppe Ribaudo. Fabric is Handcrafted Indigo and Abacus by Alison Glass.
July 2016 Bucket Bag
Textured Solid Denim by Art Gallery Fabrics (which I used for the back and bottom of the bucket bag) is the perfect weight for bag exteriors. The pattern for this bag is free and can be found at the Giucy Giuce Bucket Bag Sew Along.
This is a woven version of the Curvy Clutch from Zaka Workshop. The Curvy Clutch comes with this beautiful heart shaped hardware and an easy-to-follow pattern. Fabric is Paperie by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics.
May Woven Side
This tote is a woven and quilted mod of the pattern "Tokyo Carryall Tote." Fabric is Paperie by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics.
May Quilted Side
I used Superior Threads King Tut 50wt to quilt a grid pattern on this Art Gallery Fabrics Solid Textured Denim.
A triaxial weave in Wanderer Fabrics by April Rhodes and Solid Textured Denim, all from Art Gallery Fabrics. The weave pattern is meant to resemble boats, representing the distance that can develop between friends who live apart. This bag travelled to the Midwest to live with a dear friend.
The bag pattern is the Velocity Bag, which is a free project on the Art Gallery Fabrics web site.
This woven foldover clutch was made using a quilted orphan block, some Sunprint and Handcrafted by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics, and upcycled denim. I wrote a pattern for this bag for Sew Mama Sew.
This is the madweave side. It is woven with 1/2" strips of Alison Glass Handcrafted for Andover. Bottom of the bag and hand rolled handles are Andover chambray.
This is the quilted side. I used a rainbow variegated thread to matchstick quilt a panel of Alison Glass' Ex Libris for Andover.
Bound Challenge Bag
Fold-over shoulder bag made for the Bound Challenge by Art Gallery Fabrics. The challenge was to make a bag with April Rhode's Bound. Two sided, this bag features both a triaxial madweave and matchstick quilting.
Bound Challenge Closeup
The shoulder strap and bag accents are upcycled denim, the zipper is from a no longer useful coat, and the zipper pull charm is a re-purposed earring.
